Local megachurch's charismatic leader resigns - Abundant Life pastor Paul Sheppard steps down for unspecified 'moral failure' When a preacher or leader of the faith falls short, does it strengthen, weaken or how does it affect your faith?

It wouldn't affect my faith, however they would lose all credibilty. I don't beleive in the preacher, but I do listen and try and learn from what he has to say. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. Just because he fell short shouldn't have an affect on your faith. "Do as I say not as I do"

I would have to say neither. However, his "Moral Failures" did strengthen my belief that we all fall short in the glory of God. Having gone to ALCF for many years, Pastor Paul was able to teach me a lot about the Bible and how to apply it to everyday living and for that I am grateful.

I'd say that it doesnt effect me really. It's sad if something like that happens, but we're all human. We should never forget that. Our strength and foundation should be in God, not in a church leader.

It would rattle my faith if I thought this guy was a Christian. His fruit (before his open sin) says he's not Christian.
